Hij deed mee aan danscompetities die in zijn buurt georganiseerd werden, Hij liep verschillende festivals af door het hele land.<br>Zijn echte carri\u00e8re begon toen hij de choreograaf Joe Bouzanzou en zijn balletgoep &#8220;la for\u00eat sacr\u00e9e&#8221; ontmoette. Joe Bouzanzou bracht discipline en professionaliteit in de carri\u00e8re van Lamine. Hierna danste hij met de groep &#8220;les etoiles bleues&#8221; , die later bekend werd onder de naam &#8220;Bidiw&#8221;. Na talloze optredens in Senegal en in andere afrikaanse landen, volgde Lamine zijn danscarri\u00e8re in Europa.
